Phnom penh: Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on the occasion of Pakistan's Independence Day.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, in her message dated August 13, Samdech Khuon Sudary extended her warmest congratulations and felicitations on behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and herself to her Pakistani counterpart, his colleagues, and the people of Pakistan as they commemorate the 79th Anniversary of Independence Day on August 14, 2026.

Samdech Khuon Sudary emphasized the strengthening friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Pakistan over the years, which have been built on mutual respect, understanding, trust, and interests. She expressed confidence that the existing ties, particularly between the two nations' legislatures, will continue to deepen for the mutual benefits of both peoples.

In her concluding remarks, Samdech Khuon Sudary reaffirmed Cambodia's commitment to enhancing a rules-based international order and fostering open and inclusive multilateralism to achieve lasting peace and prosperity.
