Cambodian and Thai Technical Teams Convene at Poipet Border to Implement Joint Instruction

Poipet: Heads of the Cambodian and Thai technical operation teams met at the Poipet International Border Gate to discuss the implementation plan in accordance with the recently approved Technical Instruction. The meeting is a significant step following the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC)’s approval of the instruction.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, a senior official from Cambodia’s State Secretariat of Border Affairs emphasized that a joint survey team from both countries will soon inspect the designated area. The teams will proceed with the installation of temporary border markers between border posts No. 42 and No. 47 in O’Beichoan commune, O’Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodia, and Sa Kaeo province, Thailand.

The work aligns with the outcomes of the JBC meeting held on Oct. 21-22, 2025.
