Phnom penh: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State of Cambodia, received H.E. Ms. Mark©ta Kolc H¡jkov¡, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Cambodia, at the Senate Palace this morning.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Senate Spokesperson H.E. Chea Thyrith reported that Samdech Techo Hun Sen extended a warm welcome to the Czech Ambassador and her delegation. He noted that the Ambassador’s presence reflects the value Cambodia places on its relations with the Czech Republic.
Samdech Techo emphasized the importance of the bilateral relationship and recalled the long-standing historical ties between the two countries. He mentioned that His Majesty the King of Cambodia had previously studied in the Czech Republic, symbolizing the enduring friendship and mutual understanding shared by both nations.
The Czech Ambassador, H.E. Ms. Kolc H¡jkov¡, reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening cooperation and promoting development efforts between the two countries, especially in trade and investment. She expressed her determination to encourage Czech investors to explore new opportunities in Cambodia.
H.E. Ms. Kolc H¡jkov¡ also outlined her intention to promote investment in key sectors. As the two nations approach the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations, she aims to deepen cooperation through various events and high-level official visits.
