Cambodia to Host 4th National Science, Technology and Innovation Day in March

Phnom penh: The 4th National Day of Science, Technology and Innovation 2026 (STI Day 2026) is scheduled to take place from March 26 to 28 at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI) announced that the opening ceremony will be led by H.E. Vongsey Vissoth, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers. He will represent Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The event, themed 'Innovation for National Advancement,' aims to enhance public understanding of Cambodia's accomplishments and future plans in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. This aligns with the Royal Government's policy focus on socio-economic development.

STI Day 2026 will include six main programmes: a Science, Technology and Innovation Exhibition, STI talk shows, innovation activities, the Sci-Cup Competition 2026, the Outstanding Cambodian Scientists Awards, and the Public Sector Innovation Awards.

MISTI has extended invitations to senior government officials, business leaders, researchers, scientists, innovators, students, and the general public. The Ministry is also encouraging companies in sectors like technology, food processing, energy, manufacturing, machinery and components, digital solutions, and financial services to participate in the exhibition. This presents opportunities for growth and collaboration driven by innovation.
