Cambodia: Cambodia has been unanimously selected to host the 12th Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships in 2028, defeating bids from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the decision was made during the General Assembly of the Asian Taekwon-Do Federation (ATF) held in Mongolia on August 4. H.E. Keo Remy, Senior Minister and President of the Cambodia ITF Taekwon-Do Federation, announced the outcome of the assembly.

H.E. Keo Remy attributed Cambodia's successful bid to the country's proven capability in organising major international sporting events, particularly the successful hosting of the Southeast Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships. He stated that the continental event would elevate Cambodia's international profile while attracting tourists, creating jobs, and contributing to economic growth.

The ATF General Assembly was convened on the sidelines of the 11th Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships, which took place in Mongolia from August 3 to 9. Cambodia has dispatched a 47-member delegation, including 32 athletes from both the junior and senior national teams, to participate in the ongoing event.
