Siem Reap:Phnom Penh Cambodia is set to expand its international air connectivity with South Korea and China through the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport. This development includes a new seasonal service from Seoul, South Korea, and additional flights from Kunming city in China's Yunan province, as detailed in a statement from the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) on October 28.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, China Eastern Airlines has increased its Kunming-Siem Reap service from three to four flights per week, effective October 25, 2026. The additional flight operates on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, utilizing Boeing 737-800 aircraft. This increased frequency aims to improve access to Siem Reap from southwestern China.
Trinity Airways will introduce a new seasonal daily service between Seoul-Incheon and Siem Reap from December 24, 2026, to March 3, 2027. This route will be operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft during Cambodia's peak tourist season.
SSCA Secretary of State and Spokesperson H.E. Sinn Chansereyvutha stated that the new services are expected to bolster Cambodia's tourism growth and enhance international connectivity, particularly with the key Northeast Asian tourism markets of South Korea and China.
The SSCA emphasized that the expanded services will fortify air links with South Korea and China, supporting an increase in international visitor arrivals and creating more economic opportunities for Siem Reap. The SSCA remains committed to facilitating airline operations, promoting market access, and collaborating with aviation and tourism partners to further Cambodia's connectivity and economic development.
