Cambodia and Viet Nam Sign Six Agreements to Boost Cooperation

Phnom Penh:Cambodia and Viet Nam have reinforced their bilateral relations through the signing of six key cooperation agreements. The agreements were finalized during a meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and Vietnamese Prime Minister H.E. Le Minh Hung at the Peace Palace.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the two leaders witnessed the exchange of documents aimed at enhancing collaboration in various sectors, including drug treatment and rehabilitation, education, cultural heritage preservation, security, trade, and economic development.

The signed documents include a Memorandum of Understanding for the construction of a National Centre for Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation in Svay Rieng, an education cooperation agreement for 2026-2030, and a memorandum on preserving the Cambodia-Viet Nam Friendship Monument.

Further agreements involve security cooperation between the National Information Technology Centre of Cambodia and Viet Nam's Ministry of Public Security, the establishment of a Joint Trade Committee, and an arrangement on bilateral trade enhancement.

These agreements are intended to create a framework for closer collaboration, contributing to stronger bilateral relations and sustainable development in both Cambodia and Viet Nam.
