Cambodia and New Zealand Pledge Continued Cooperation

Phnom Penh:Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mrs. EAT Sophea, welcomed New Zealand's Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. Ms. Raylene Liufalani, at the Ministry on September 28. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during their meeting, Mrs. EAT Sophea congratulated Ms. Liufalani on her new appointment and assured her of Cambodia's support throughout her diplomatic mission. They both expressed satisfaction with the longstanding and productive cooperation between the two countries, highlighting areas such as education, agriculture, environment, water resources management, and the promotion of women's and youth rights, along with mine clearance efforts. The two officials also recognized the value of high-level visits, Foreign Ministries' Consultations, and people-to-people connections in strengthening bilateral relations. Mrs. EAT Sophea briefed Ms. Liufalani on the Cambodia-Thailand border situation, emphasizing Cambodia's commitment to peaceful resolution in line with internati onal law and existing agreements. Before concluding, Ms. Liufalani reiterated her commitment to enhancing the bilateral relationship between Cambodia and New Zealand.
