The Hague:Cambodia The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia has announced that Cambodia and Thailand must refrain from making public statements regarding the outcomes of the ongoing conciliation proceedings. This restraint is required until the Conciliation Commission issues its official press release.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the ministry's notice, issued on October 15, emphasized that this requirement stems from the Rules of Procedure agreed upon by both parties during the second meeting of the Conciliation Commission. This commission was established under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
The second meeting is taking place from October 14 to 18, 2026, at the Peace Palace, which serves as the headquarters of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, the Netherlands.
