Cambodia reported zero new infection of COVID-19 for three days in a row; the tally thus remains at 136,262.

The good news was shared by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in a voice message this morning before his departure for the ASEAN-U.S. Special Summit in Washington D.C.

According to the Premier, only more than 20 COVID-19 patients remain at hospital.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister once again thanked all his compatriots for their participation, through financial contribution, respect of health preventive measures, and vaccination, in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also re-appealed to them keep high vigilance to avoid the return of this infectious disease and to enjoy the “almost full” reopening of socio-economic activities by sticking to the health safety rules.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
