World Health Organisation (WHO) has called for a joint effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The appeal was made by Dr. Li Ailan, Representative of WHO in Cambodia in the launching ceremony of a national health education campaign against COVID-19 in Kampong Speu province early this week.
It is unknown when COVID-19 can end, particularly if the public do not take part in implementing the safety measures guided by WHO and the Ministry of Health, Dr. Li Ailan said.
The right action or joint effort today will help prevent and contain the mass detection of COVID-19 tomorrow and in future.
Public contribution is crucial to save life, minimise the impacts on society and maintain safe Cambodia, she continued encouraging the public to get fully vaccinated and comply with the safety guideline.
She also spoke highly of Cambodia for deciding to fully reopen the country with the implementation of the Ministry of Health’s measures.
