Waterway Transport and Logistics Mulled

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport and a Chinese company – CRBC – will work together on a study of waterway logistics system development connecting the Bassac River in Kandal province to Kep province.

Speaking during his inspection visit of the progress of the Phnom Penh Autonomous Port’s Sub-Feeder Multipurpose Terminal TS11 development project in Sangkat Kilometre 6, Khan Russey Keo on April 25, H.E. The ministry and the Chinese company have agreed on the project whose detailed study is planned soon.

“The firm’s working group will work with the ministry on the study. Once the study is completed, we will submit it to the relevant ministries and institutions to help check and assess possible impact and decide whether to proceed it or not?” he said.

Under the project, strategic ports will be built in Kandal province’s Saang district, in Takeo province and in Kep province, stressed H.E. Sun Chanthol.
