Two important meetings are being held in Phnom Penh prior to the 19th ASEAN Chiefs of Defence Forces’ Meeting (ACDFM-19) hosted by Cambodia.
The meetings – the 12th ASEAN Military Operations Meeting (AMOM-12) and the 19th ASEAN Military Intelligence Meeting (AMIM-19) – have been being organised on Mar. 14-16.
The AMOM-12 was chaired by Lieutenant General Pen Sokrethvithyea of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces while the AMIM-19 by Brigadier General Hun Manith, Director General of the General Department of Research and Intelligence at the Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia.
Cambodia will host the ACDFM-19 in Phnom Penh on Mar. 16-18 under the theme “Solidarity for Peace and Harmony”.
Deputy Commander-in-Chief and Chief of Joint Staff of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, General Ith Sarath has recently confirmed Cambodia’s readiness for the forthcoming ACDFM-19, stressing that the hosting will show the world the Kingdom’s prestige and ability to pave the way for unity, solidarity and resilience in the ASEAN region.
