Phnom Penh: Three Chinese companies, Fortune Rich Trade Co., Ltd., Ju Wang Footwear Co., Ltd., and Shandong (Cambodia) Economic and Technological Development Zone, along with Guoxing Group, have unveiled plans to expand their investments in Cambodia. This announcement was made during separate meetings with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, the Prime Minister of Cambodia, on November 6, while he was attending a series of summits in Kunming, Yunnan province, China.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the chairmen of these firms expressed their appreciation for Cambodia’s progress and briefed the Prime Minister on their current investment activities as well as their future plans. These plans include the creation of factories for women’s and children’s clothing, the cultivation of cassava and cashew crops, the establishment of a cashew processing plant, and the development of an industrial park focused on producing natural fertilizers to enhance soil quality and agricultural productivity.

Hun Manet congratulated the companies on their successful ventures in Cambodia and welcomed their plans for expansion. He highlighted the Royal Government of Cambodia’s policies that incentivize investments utilizing local raw materials to bolster production chains for both domestic and export markets. The Prime Minister reassured that the government remains open to collaborating with the private sector to ensure successful investment outcomes.
