This Month Best for Fermented and Dried Fish Making

The Fisheries Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has informed the public that December this year is the best month for making Cambodia’s traditional fermented fish (locally known as Prahok) and dried fish.

The notification followed an observation of increasing fishes in Tonle Sap River, especially in Phnom Penh capital and Kandal province.

The fisheries administration also called on concerned authorities at all levels to help ease people’s effort to make the fermented and dried fish.
