gation of Thai Embassy to Cambodia has provided relief assistance to support repatriating Cambodian migrant workers from Thailand who are undergoing quarantine and those infected with COVID-19 receiving treatment in Siem Reap.
The delegation lead, Mr. Jirawuth Suwanna-arj, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) at the Royal Thai Embassy in Cambodia, handed over relief assistance to Siem Reap Provincial Governor H.E. Tea Seiha yesterday at the province.
The relief assistance included some instant food, drink, facemasks, gloves and other necessary items.
On behalf of the Siem Reap authority, H.E. Tea Seiha deeply thanked the Thai delegation for the assistance when the province is responding to the spread of the deadly disease.
He also encouraged the Thai counterpart to help facilitate the repatriation of more Cambodian migrant workers.
According to the governor, so far there are over 6,000 returning Siem Reap residents undergoing quarantine and others infected with the disease are receiving treatment in the province.
The provincial administration has set up 47 quarantine centres throughout the province to receive repatriating migrant workers who are Siem Reap residents, and been ready with other 60 locations to be in use when needed.
