AKP Phnom Penh, Singapore has reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthen and expand its cooperation with Cambodia.
The remark was made by newly appointed Ambassador of Singapore to Cambodia H.E. Ms. Teo Lay Cheng while paying a courtesy call on H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport, at the ministry office yesterday.
The minister expressed his congratulations to the new diplomat on her new role, adding that her diplomatic mission in Cambodia will continue to maintain and foster the ties of friendship and cooperation in all sectors between the two countries.
On the occasion, H.E. Sun Chanthol informed his guest about the ministry’s new developments and its decision to choose Singapore’s YCH and Infrastructure Asia (IA) for study and development of Phnom Penh Logistics Complex (PP-LC), as well as the ministry’s task to prepare a framework agreement with the two companies.
PP-LC is a strategic project situated at the heart of the country and will play a crucial role in goods distribution and as a connecting centre of road, rail, waterway and air transport, he underlined, adding that it can also serve as a regional transport and logistics hub.
