Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen this morning said the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) had already prepared a reserve list of cabinet ministers.

While paying an inspecting visit to the construction site of the new Phnom Penh International Airport in Prek Sleng commune, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said this reserve list had been prepared and approved by senior leaders of CPP, including himself and his vice presidents – Samdech Say Chum and Samdech Sar Kheng – as well as other senior members such as Samdech Tea Banh, and H.E. Mrs. Men Sam An.

“A reserve cabinet list has been made. About half of the members hold a doctorate degree while the rest a master’s degree, and all of them are under the age of 60,” he pointed out.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen underlined that the list is not for 2023, but for future mandate.

At the same time, the Premier reaffirmed the CPP’s irreversible stance to protect the monarchy and the constitution.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also said CPP will be organising a central committee member congress on Dec. 24, 2021 to vote for the future candidate for the post of Prime Minister and to approve the reserve cabinet list.
