Restoration of Wooden Dormitories in Preah Prohm Rath Pagoda Completed

The restoration project of two old wooden dormitories in Preah Prohm Rath Pagoda under the funding and technical support from the APSARA National Authority was completed on July 11.

The update was shared in a news release issued on the completion day by the APSARA National Authority.

The two wooden dormitories old and dilapidated were carefully restored.

The restoration work focused on walls, footings, roofs and other important parts to avoid risks of collapsing and to further beautify them.

The dormitories in Preah Prohm Rath Pagoda are 13.65 metres by 14.78 metres in size and 7.77 metres high, said the release.

The purpose of this project is to make these wooden dormitories continue welcoming research and study.

It was meant also to preserve the ancient heritage and attract tourists to visit the site.
