Cambodian Prime Minster Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has reiterated the value of peace, calling on people not to wait for war to seek peace.

“Peace is priceless. Don’t wait until there is a war to understand the value of peace,” said Samdech Techo Hun Sen at the inauguration ceremony of “Preah Thong Neang Neak” statue in Prey Nup district, Preah Sihanouk province this morning.

The Premier recalled that 47 years ago, on April 16, 1975, he became a disabled person by losing one eye due to civil war. That’s why when he could lead the country, he vowed to seek peace for the people at any cost so that the children and youths did not become disabled like him.

With peace, he added, people have the opportunity to celebrate the New Year and other ceremonies of all races in Cambodia.

“We don’t want anyone to destroy peace. We all need to join hands to maintain peace regardless of our political tendencies,” Samdech Techo Prime Minister underlined.
