The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) has called on people to keep their vigilance of possible thunder, lightning, and gusts this week.
The phenomena would occur especially in some parts of the provinces in the central lowland areas in the south and northwest and the eastern provinces bordering Vietnam, from May 13 to 16, according to the ministry’s new weather forecast issued this morning.
MOWRAM explained the phenomena by the growing influence of southwest monsoon on Cambodia.
Between May 12 to 18, the source pointed out, the temperature would vary between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius for the provinces in the central lowland areas, from 23 to 33 degrees Celsius for the provinces next to the Dangrek mountain range and highland areas in the northeast, and between 24 and 33 degrees Celsius in the coastal areas, accompanied by moderate to heavy rain across the country.
