Nine more investment projects worth in total US$43.28 million have been approved, according to a press release of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) issued on Jan. 12.

The newly-approved projects are expected to generate over 11,000 jobs for the locals.

The nine investment projects cover the production of clothes, bags, pet supplies, cardboard boxes and plastic products.

These projects belong to nine different companies located in the provinces of Preah Sihanouk, Kampong Speu and Kandal, and Phnom Penh capital.

Such investments demonstrate confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability as the country is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
