The inauguration ceremony took place here in Phnom Penh on Feb. 9 under the presidency of Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Mikami Masahiro.

The facilities were made possible under a project for Establishing Foundations for Teacher Education College (E-TEC), which is a grant aid of people and Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), aiming to strengthen necessary physical foundation for two colleges in Phnom Penh and Battambang province to be the four-year teacher education establishments.

The well trained teachers will eventually contribute significantly to increasing the quality of education at primary and lower secondary schools.

According to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the achievements include administrative, study, and library buildings, and multi-purposed hall, equipped with modern technology.
