Ministry, Khmer Enterprise Sign MoU to Boost Cambodia’s Tourism

AKP Phnom Penh, The Ministry of Tourism and Khmer Enterprise have reached an agreement for a project on “Enhancing Internal Tourism Movement and Promoting Tourism Activities in Communities in the context of COVID-19”.

The agreement was signed on Aug. 27 between H.E. Thong Rathasak, Director General of Tourism Development and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Tourism and Dr. Chhieng Vanmunin, CEO of Khmer Enterprise in the presence of Secretary of State H.E. Top Sopheak and Under Secretary of State H.E. Kuch Panhasa.

H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, witnessed the signing ceremony of the agreement virtually via Zoom.

The project focuses on enhancing tourism movement to key tourism community areas in the targeted provinces of Siem Reap, Battambang, Pursat and Kampong Chhnang.

It also includes activities such as training on some necessary skills and entrepreneurship, preparation of promotional videos, community location labeling, and dissemination activities.
