Banteay Meanchey, a northwestern province of Cambodia, has been set for mandatory mask wearing and safety distancing due to COVID-19 community threat.
The obligation, imposed by the Ministry of Health in an announcement AKP received this morning, comes into force from May 3 until further notice.
The ministry asked competent authorities at all levels to take measures to ensure the mandatory mask wearing and safety distancing and the public to take part in carrying out this obligation to prevent the COVID-19 spread.
Banteay Meanchey is the 7th province designated by the Ministry of Health for the mandatory mask wearing and safety distancing. The other six areas include Phnom Penh capital and the provinces of Preah Sihanouk, Kandal, Prey Veng, Siem Reap, and Svay Rieng.
