In-class Resumption Extended to Other Levels

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) has announced to extend the scope of group teaching and learning for public and private educational institutions at all levels in all provinces and capital, from Nov. 1, 2021 onward.

All classes at the primary and secondary levels, higher education institutions, both public and private, the National Institute of Education, institutes of technology, teachers’ training centres, special education institutions, and so on will be part of the extension plan, MoEYS said in an announcement released this evening.

The size of each group teaching and learning must not over 20 students, it underlined, adding that safety distancing and other necessary health rules must continue to be followed.

Mixed-method study such as online learning, document distribution, and in-class learning are encouraged, especially for medium- and high-risk areas.

Last month, the Royal Government allowed all secondary schools to reopen, but only vaccinated students and teachers against COVID-19 can enter the school.

The in-class resumption has been authorised thanks to the high vaccination rate, especially among teachers, education staff and students.
