H.E. Kep Chuktema has been elected as Chairman of the Interior, National Defence, and Civil Service Commission of the National Assembly (NA) of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The election took place at the 7th session of the NA’s 6th legislature held here this morning under the chairmanship of NA President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin.

H.E. Kep Chuktema succeeds Samdech Oudom Tep Nhean Hun Neng who passed away on May 5 at the age of 72 years old.

At the same parliamentary session, the lawmakers present also acknowledged the mandate validity of H.E. Sles Punyamin as a lawmaker for Kampong Cham provincial constituency in replacement of Samdech Oudom Tep Nhean Hun Neng.
