Friendship Medical Building, Born from Cambodia-China Good Relations

The Cambodia-China Friendship Medical Building results from the good relations between the two countries, underlined Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen at the official inauguration ceremony of the medical building this morning.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister spoke highly of this new achievement of Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital and thanked China for its assistance for the development of Cambodia, particularly for the development of the hospital.

For his part, H.E. Wang Wentian, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, congratulated the hospital on the new building, and expressed his conviction that the hospital will significantly contribute to providing better medical services for the Cambodian people.

The ambassador also reiterated China’s continued support for Cambodia in the development of other sectors that the Kingdom is in need.

According to H.E. Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health, the Cambodia-China Friendship Medical Building was constructed on an area of more than 13,000 square metres at a total cost of over US$80 million, under a grant aid of the Government of the People’s Republic of China. The construction started on Oct. 30, 2018 and lasted for 39 months.

The 11-storey building, equipped with latest high-tech medical equipment, is divided into different services – outpatient, emergency, medical technology, general medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, and other support services.
