COVID-19: Over 400 Imported Cases among 825 New Infections

Cambodia reported 825 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) this morning, of which 421 were imported, according to the Ministry of Health’s press release.

The tally thus jumped to 68,796, including 6,945 imported cases, pointed out the source.

At the same time, 1,022 more patients have recovered from COVID-19; bringing the total cured cases in the Kingdom to 61,039, it added.

The ministry also recorded 21 new deaths; the death toll rose to 1,149.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
