Cambodia this morning reported only a new case of COVID-19; bringing the tally to 136,258, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health.

The new case is of Omicron variant transmitted locally. The total Omicron cases in Cambodia rose to 15,805, of which 14,455 are Omicron community cases.

At the same time, the ministry recorded 12 more recoveries and zero new death; the total cured cases and death toll in the country stood at 133,156 and 3,056, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was found in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
