COVID-19: Only 85 New Cases Detected

Cambodia’s Ministry of Health reported only 85 new cases of COVID-19 this morning; bringing the national counts to 118,787.

These are PCR test results, said the same source, pointing out that 9 of the new infections were imported and the rest were linked to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.

Moreover, the ministry recorded 94 newly recovered patients, but seven new deaths (5 of them have not been vaccinated); the total cured and death cases rose to 115,111 and 2,807, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
