COVID-19: New Cases Drop to Below 10

The number of COVID-19 new cases in Cambodia dropped to only 8 this morning; bringing the tally to 120,390.

According to the Ministry of Health’s press release, these are PCR test results, all of which were linked to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.

At the same time, there were 12 new recoveries, but 3 new deaths (2 of them have not been vaccinated); the total cured and death cases in the Kingdom thus stood at 116,746 and 2,995, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
