COVID-19: Daily Cases Keep Decreasing

AKP Phnom Penh, The daily new infections of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Cambodia keep going down, but still around 400.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this morning, of the 411 new cases, 85 were imported and the rest were community cases connected to the Feb. 20 outbreak.

The tally jumped to 91,369, including 14,708 imported cases, the same source pointed out.

Moreover, 17 new deaths were reported, but 306 new patients have recovered; bringing the total death and cured cases in the Kingdom to 1,858 and 87,299, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 Community Event.
