The daily cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia dropped by 80 cases to 830 this morning; bringing the tally to 62,700, said the Ministry of Health in a press release.
According to the same source, 217 of the new infections are imported cases, and the rest are community cases related to the Feb. 20 outbreak.
At the same time, 1,012 more patients have successfully been cured; the total number of recovered patients rose to 54,489.
Besides, there were 28 new deaths; the death toll thus increased to 953.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
