COVID-19: Daily Cases Drop to 198; Tally 133,263

Cambodia registered only 198 new cases of COVID-19, all of Omicron variant, of which 194 were locally transmitted and 4 were imported, said a press release of the Ministry of Health issued this morning.

The country’s COVID-19 tally thus increased to 133,263, including 12,810 Omicron cases (11,698 Omicron community cases), it added.

At the same time, 339 new recoveries were recorded; while there was no new death case; the total cured cases and death toll in the Kingdom stood at 127,683 and 3,043, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
