COVID-19: 753 Recovered Cases, 616 New Infections, 6 New Deaths

Cambodia recorded 753 newly recovered cases of COVID-19; bringing the total cured patients to 23,389, announced the Ministry of Health in a press release made public this morning.

Meanwhile, it added, 616 new cases were reported, of them 31 were imported and the rest were locally transmitted cases related to the Feb. 20 Community Event.

Cambodia’s tally thus stood at 30,710, the same source pointed out.

Moreover, the ministry registered six new coronavirus-related deaths; therefore the total fatal cases increased to 220.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The total confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
