Cambodia’s Ministry of Health this morning reported 238 new cases of COVID-19, all of Omicron variant, of which 214 were locally transmitted and 24 were imported.

The COVID-19 tally thus stood at 133,501, including 13,048 Omicron cases (11,912 Omicron community cases), it added.

At the same time, the ministry registered 312 new recoveries, but a new death (not vaccinated); bringing the total cured cases and death toll in the Kingdom to 127,995 and 3,044, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
