Cambodian PM Receives Japanese Government’s Special Envoy

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received here at the Peace Palace this afternoon visiting H.E. Yohei Sasakawa, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan and Chairman of The Nippon Foundation.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, H.E. Yohei Sasakawa praised Cambodia for its fast development which, he said, reflects the wise leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

The special envoy also spoke highly of Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s visit to Myanmar in early January this year, saying that it helped open a locked door and give hope to the Myanmar people.

Besides, he informed the Prime Minister of Exceed Organisaton’s activities in Cambodia, especially in teaching students to produce prosthetics. He then requested Samdech Hun Sen to allow Myanmar students to come to Cambodia to learn the skill from their Cambodian counterparts.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen welcomed the request, stressing that it is a honour for Cambodia.

The Cambodian leader also thanked H.E. Yohei Sasakawa for his support for his visit to Myanmar, reaffirming that as the rotating Chair of ASEAN this year, he will continue the work.
