Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, said he noted joys and solidarity among people across the country during the ongoing Khmer New Year celebration.

“We noted no discrimination even though we have 17 political parties to compete in the upcoming Commune/Sangkat Council Election. Everyone enjoys the celebrations without political tendency discrimination,” said the Premier while presiding over the inauguration of “Preah Thong Neang Neak” statue in Prey Nup district, Preah Sihanouk province this morning.

“This is the pride of Cambodia,” Samdech Techo Prime Minister underlined.

The Kingdom is going to hold the 5th Commune/Sangkat Council Election on June 5, 2022.

According to the official voter list, Cambodia has in total 9,205,681 eligible voters, of them 4,904,832 are women.

The figure represents 87.94 percent of the total population aged 18 years up, who will go to vote at 23,602 designated polling stations throughout the country.
