Cambodian Parliament Extends Condolences over the Loss of Former UAE President

Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, has sent a condolence message to President of Global Council for Tolerance and Peace of the United Arab Emirates over the passing of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, former President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“His passing has left a void in our hearts and is a great loss of a prominent, remarkable, and visionary leader of the UAE. May you find the comfort that the late His Highness will always be in our memory,” wrote the NA President in his recent message.

“During this time of profound grief, may I join Your Excellency, the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and the people of the UAE to mourn the passing of the late His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. May his soul be blessed in eternal peace and happiness,” he added.

On behalf of the National Assembly and the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Heng Samrin wish the people of the UAE lasting peace and greater prosperity.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was the second president of the UAE. He served as the President of the UAE from 2004 until he passed away on May 13, 2022 at the age of 73.
