The Royal Embassy of Cambodia to Australia has warned people in Cambodia to be wary of all advertisements recruiting workers to work in Australia both by any agency and individual.

The embassy said that Cambodia’s ministries and concerned institutions are still negotiating with the Australian government to accept Cambodian workers, according to a statement issued on Sept. 1.

Competent Cambodian ministries and institutions are working closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Cambodian Embassy to Australia for the negotiation with the Australian side.

The bilateral talk focuses on issuing Australian agriculture visas to partner countries, including Cambodia.

Currently, the agriculture visa scheme is at the preparation stage and the Australian government has yet to decide on provision of such visa to Cambodia as well as other countries.
