Cambodian Athletes Join Jiu-Jitsu World Championship 2022 in UAE

Cambodian Jiu-Jitsu heroine Miss Khan Jessa along with other two Jiu-Jitsu athletes Mr. Hour Senghong and Mr. Thorn Andrew have travelled to the United Arab Emirates to join the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship 2022.

Mr. Thong Panhathun, Deputy President of the Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Cambodia, Mr. Sean Sopheak, Secretary General and Dutch Coach Mr. Jasper Paas led the Cambodian Jiu-Jitsu delegation to participate in the event.

Miss Khan Jessa will challenge in the 52-kilogramme-weight competition on Nov. 2, while Mr. Hour Senghong will be among the 69-kilogramme-weight contest and Mr. Thorn Andrew among the 62-kilogramme group on Nov. 3.

Mr. Seng Bunsong, President of the Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Cambodia, considered the competition as a good opportunity for Cambodian Jiu-Jitsu athletes to sharpen and develop their capacity for the SEA Games 2023 to be hosted by Cambodia.

Besides the tournament, the Cambodian Jiu-Jitsu delegation will also join the World Jiu-Jitsu General Assembly to be held on Nov. 2 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, he added.
