Cambodia, France Appreciate Blossoming Bilateral Cooperation

Cambodia and the French Republic have lauded bilateral cooperation and mutual support within the international framework.

The remark was made during a courtesy meeting on May 12 at the Cambodian Senate Palace between Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, President of the Senate and visiting member of the Senate of France H.E. Vincent Eblé.

According H.E. Vincent Eblé, his visit was also meant to cheer the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic tie between Cambodia and France.

He considered the Cambodian-French friendship as a long-standing and historical tie vital from the past, for present and to future.

Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum spoke highly of the two countries’ diplomatic relation formally established in 1952 by the wisdom of the Late King-Father of Cambodia His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk and the leader of France during the time.

On behalf of Cambodia, he expressed his gratitude to the Government and people of France for their support in grant as well as sovereign and non-sovereign loans for the development of Cambodia

H.E. Vincent Eblé led his delegation for an official visit to Cambodia from May 6-15.
