Cambodia, Dominica to Expand Cooperation on Agriculture

Cambodia and the Commonwealth of Dominica are intended to strengthen and expand their cooperation in the fields of agriculture and fisheries.

The intention was highlighted in a meeting here at the Peace Palace this morning between Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and visiting H.E. Dr. Vince Henderson, Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade and Energy of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Personal Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, in the courtesy meeting, H.E. Dr. Vince Henderson praised Cambodia for its peace, stability and development, and informed Samdech Techo Hun Sen of his visit to Cambodia, the purpose of which is to deepen the relations between both countries in the bilateral and multilateral frameworks through the expansion of cooperation on agriculture and fisheries.

In reply, Samdech Techo Prime Minister welcomed the signing of Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica on the Exemption of Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic and Service/Official Passports, considering it as a good start for the relations and cooperation between the two nations.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen highly valued the intention to foster the cooperation on agriculture and fisheries and recommended both sides to consider the possibility of cooperation in other areas such as tourism.

H.E. Dr. Vince Henderson is on his first official visit to Cambodia from Mar. 22 to 24 to further strengthen the diplomatic relations and expand the cooperation between the two countries for their mutual benefits.
