Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn and his Czech counterpart H.E. Jakub Khulhánek have expressed their optimism over the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
“This year commemoration marks another significant milestone in our cordial bilateral relations and will certainly add greater strength to the spirit of friendship between our two Peoples. Looking forward, I am certain that our collaboration and partnership will be further enhanced in various areas of mutual benefits, both at the bilateral and multilateral levels,” wrote H.E. Prak Sokhonn in a congratulatory message to H.E. Jakub Khulhánek on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between both nations.
“Looking back at the past 65 years since May 18, 1956, I am pleased to see our respectful, friendly and cooperative relations to grow and I am confident that this positive trajectory will continue to be shown also in the future,” said for his part the Czech foreign minister.
H.E. Prak Sokhonn recalled the long-standing friendship and close cooperation between the two countries as well as the official visit of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Prague in 2019 which resulted in the signing of important documents in health, diplomatic academy and investment.
“The Czech Republic has played a vital role in the attainment of peace, national rehabilitation and reconstruction of Cambodia that led to substantial contributions to her socio-economic development,” he stressed.
H.E. Jakub Khulhánek looked forward to further bilateral exchanges and cooperation in multilateral forums and wished Cambodia all the best in preparations for the 13th ASEM Summit in Phnom Penh in the autumn of this year.
