Cambodia Aims at Gold Medals for Snooker at SEA Games 2023

Cambodia Billiards and Snookers Federation (CBSF) aims to win three gold medals at the SEA Games 2023.

H.E. Chum Kosal, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Information and President of CBSF, shared the ambition in a closing ceremony of King Snooker Cup 2022 here in Phnom Penh recently.

The federation is currently pushing for more competitions at the national level and training for arbitrators internally to get prepared for the SEA Games 2023.

The CBSF president also spoke highly of the event of King Snooker Cup 2022 contributing significantly to further develop the capacity of Cambodian snooker athletes.

He also encouraged Cambodian players to train hard in order to achieve the gold medals set for the nation.

Snooker was among the 40 kinds of sports listed for the SEA Games 2023.

The federation prepares 10 disciplines for the upcoming games including 6 disciplines for men and 4 for women, according to Mr. Mara Socheat, the federation’s Secretary General.

Cambodian outstanding snooker player Ms. Sruong Pheavy will also participate in the games competing in two disciplines – one-cushion and three-cushion caroms, he added.
