Twenty (20) refrigerated vaccine transport vehicles (RVTVs) have been handed over to 12 municipal and provincial health departments to further boost the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination work.

H.E. Dr. Or Vandine, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health and Chairwoman of National Ad-hoc Commission for COVID-19 Vaccination, presided over the handover ceremony held at the Central Medical Store in Phnom Penh this morning.

The RVTVs are the donation of charitable people through Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

The recipient institutions include the Health Departments of Phnom Penh capital and the provinces of Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Kampong Cham, Kampong Speu, Kampong Thom, Kampot, Kandal, Prey Veng, Siem Reap, Takeo, and Thbong Khmum, as well as the Central Medicinal Store of the Ministry of Health.

Besides, on Mar. 12, Cambodia will hand over 10 RVTVs to Lao PDR in contribution with the latter in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cambodia has so far donated COVID-19 vaccines, medical supplies and RVTVs to Lao PDR. In addition, the Kingdom extended COVID-related assistance to other countries such as Vietnam, Myanmar, Timor-Leste and Nepal.
